Position Summary:
The Senior Manager role for the Strategic Capabilities Group group within the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) at Clorox is responsible for developing and implementing standardized processes; developing training programs, owning internal and external communications; and maintaining a centralized best-in-class repository of knowledge objects, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identifying or developing best-in-class practices and embed them within GSS.  Function as liaison with external firms to share best practices (e.g., Hackett, Hoovers, consulting firms, PSC, D&B)
• Understanding the people, process and technology capabilities that GSS requires and developing targeted training programs
• Develop processes and requirements for the technology infrastructure: knowledge management tools, eSourcing and eProcurement tools.
• Developing standardized processes for the GSS group.  These would include, but are not limited to: the strategic sourcing process, sourcing strategy development process, and supplier relationship management process.
• Working with GSS leadership team to identify forward looking goals and priorities.
• Attending externally hosted conferences and adapting learnings to GSS needs.
• Providing a key interface to other groups in Clorox (e.g., Finance, Legal, Business Units) and ensuring that appropriate knowledge transfer and communication occurs between the groups

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree; Master of Business Administration or Supply Chain degree is preferred.
• 7-10 years of leading strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Previous experience with Project Management Office or Center of Excellence type organizational structures preferred
• Strong business and project leadership skills, assertive and diplomatic, self directing, able to manage up and down the organization without authority, willing to hold others accountable.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, creatively and efficiently with minimal direction.

Desired Qualifications:

• Broad functional knowledge (Legal, Regulatory, Manufacturing, R&D, Sales, Finance and Accounting, and Marketing).
• Knowledgeable in a multi-step strategic sourcing process and Project management practices (a certified, professional project manager is desired)
• Previous strategy, or consulting work experience desirable.
